Le Mur des Je t’aime:
Square Jehan Rictus, Place des Abesses, 75018 Paris; http://www.lesjetaime.com/english/lemur.html
Daily: 8 AM—6 PM
This large mural of the words, “I love you,” in 250 languages, is found inside a garden square in Montmartre. This wall is called by different names, from I Love You: the Wall, I Love You Wall, The Wall of Love, to the Wall of I Love You, but however one may call it, it’s a large wall with deep blue tiles that bear the three most important words in white.
We stopped by after the Montmartre walking tour and exploring the Sacré-Cœur. After descending the steps from Sacré-Cœur, we turned right and followed Google Maps. There’s no obvious signage and the wall is somewhat in an inconspicuous park/garden, so it’s kind of easy to miss. The area with the wall was pretty crowded with tourists all trying to take a selfie, so I couldn’t get a picture of the entire wall without a person in it (but I’m not gonna lie, I also turned into an annoying tourist and made my husband take a selfie with me in front of the wall haha). I love how there’s so much art and beauty throughout the city and it was fun to try to spot an “I love you” in languages that I know. One of my favorites was the I love you in sign language.
